My parents – Uranium Spies in the Cold War?

Harald Scholz grows up without parents in Freital, not far from Dresden: His father completely disappears in 1951 – allegedly kidnapped by Russians. His mother, 25-year-old Jutta Scholz, is arrested for espionage when she is pregnant with Harald. Harald is born at the women’s prison in Hoheneck, but is separated from his mother immediately after birth.

Harald Scholz does not know anything about his background to this day, but the 65-year-old finally wants to solve the big riddle of his family and his own life. What happened to his father? And how is his father’s life related to mining company Wismut and the construction of the Soviet nuclear bomb?
